Welcome to First Print Football!
First Print Football was founded by me, Danny Hart, on a freezing cold November day while watching the 2022 World Cup.
I grew up as an obsessive football fan in the late 1990s and 2000s. In 2008, I left school and spent the next year playing football video games and listening to matches on the radio. This unemployed year of fanatical football fandom led me to pursue a career in sports writing, which I began in 2009.
All these years later, I’m glad to say I now work full-time writing about topics I’ve been passionate about my entire life.
My First Print Football mission is pretty simple: I want to create quality content that I enjoy writing and you enjoy reading.
I often see YouTube channels and personal blogs that people have taken from nothing to 1m+ views. In years to come, I would love to achieve that kind of success and make First Print Football a go-to place for fun, informative content about football history and nostalgia.
I plan to take the website in a slightly different direction moving forward. At the time of writing, the majority of articles are based on questions that football fans ask online. While producing this content has been enjoyable, I think listicles and other types of long-form writing are more compelling.
